My Holiday

You will never believe what I did in the holidays!.......... I went to my cousins house in the city. First I got dressed and brushed my hair and my mum said that my cousin is coming to pick me up from my house. I waited and waited and waited and I heard the gate open and SCREECH! The gate sounded.I went outside to see who it was and...........They had finally come! I went to go and pack some clothes and my cousin said we had to go so I said goodbye to my Mum,Dad and my big Brothers. My cousin told and my other brothers and sister to get in the car.Off we went to the city. we saw lots of big, high buildings in the city and we went to my cousins department. When we went inside we saw a dog tied up.The dog's name was Tyson he was really excited to see us but it wasn't my cousins it was my cousins boyfriend's dog.My cousin was just looking after him.The next day we went to the Cloud. We took him for a walk. We had turns walking him but he kept peeing everywhere. Then we went to eat I had sushi and the others had something else. After we went to buy some cream because my mum was making some scones. We went to my house and I got sick and I had to stay home. My mum gave me some medicine and I felt better the next day!!!!!!!

Mighty Mucsles

Mighty Muscles
By Sue Gibbison

W.a.l.t find and summarise information in the text.

Today Mars reading group read a book called Mighty Muscles by Sue Gibbison.  It shows you how you build muscles and how to look after you muscles.  I learnt that:

  • Muscles are all over your body.
  • They help you get stronger.
  • They help you lift heavy stuff.
  • Eat healthy food to grow Muscles
  • You need to stretch before you do exercise or else your muscles will get sore.
  • You have more than 600 muscles in your body.
I liked this article because it tells you what to eat and how your whole body is important.

Reading Reflection

In this piece of work I was learning to find and summarise  information in the text. I think we are learning about this because we are learning to read non-fiction books. I found this work interesting because it tells you all about muscles and how to build muscles. I know now that we have more than 600 muscles in our body. My next step is to write in my own words. My most important part in the book is we have a smallest  muscle in our ear is called stapedius and we have a big one called gluteus maximas is your bottom.

Little White Riding Hood

Little White Riding Hood

One stormy, windy day Little White Riding Hood went into the woods to walk to her lovely grandma’s house.  On the way she met an old, nasty, bad wolf that blocked her way when she walking to her Lovely Nice grandma’s House.  She ran away as fast as she could.

The Big, bad wolf ran to Grandma’s house and got there before Little White Riding Hood.  He knocked on the door. Grandma opened the door and the old big bad wolf got in and got grandma and put her in the cupboard and locked her up.

Meanwhile Little White Riding Hood finally got to Grandma’s house.  She went inside and said “Hello” to her Grandma.  She got her basket out and there was lovely crispy bread, so Little White Riding Hood took the bread out and cut it into half.

Little White Riding Hood saw the wolf through a window and she said ”I must get inside before the wolf eats grandma.”  Then she found a key and she put it through the hole and it magically opened by itself but when Little White Riding looked behind the door she saw the old, nasty, bad wolf.
The wolf caught her and she tried to get out but the wolf wouldn’t let her go but she kicked the wolf and freed her grandma and ran home to her mother.

She told her mother what had happened to her and grandma. So then her mother said,  “okay I’m going to call the woodcutter to kill the wolf to stop him from trying to eat you.”

Little White Riding Hood learnt to stay on the path and not to talk to strangers and grandma learnt not to let strangers into her little cottage

My Fractions Reflection
I have been learning to find fractions of shapes and sets.  I can write and read the symbols for each fraction.  I can find fractions of shapes but I am still learning to find fractions of sets.  I didn't do well in this because I needed help.   I should of used some counters to help me.
