W.a.l.t find and summarise information in the text by finding the most important information.
Before we read the book we did a KWL chart and we wrote what we already knew about White-Tailed Spiders we wanted to learn about them and then after we read to book we wrote about what we learned.

My Holiday
You will never believe what I did in the holidays!.......... I went to my cousins house in the city. First I got dressed and brushed my hair and my mum said that my cousin is coming to pick me up from my house. I waited and waited and waited and I heard the gate open and SCREECH! The gate sounded.I went outside to see who it was and...........They had finally come! I went to go and pack some clothes and my cousin said we had to go so I said goodbye to my Mum,Dad and my big Brothers. My cousin told and my other brothers and sister to get in the car.Off we went to the city. we saw lots of big, high buildings in the city and we went to my cousins department. When we went inside we saw a dog tied up.The dog's name was Tyson he was really excited to see us but it wasn't my cousins it was my cousins boyfriend's dog.My cousin was just looking after him.The next day we went to the Cloud. We took him for a walk. We had turns walking him but he kept peeing everywhere. Then we went to eat I had sushi and the others had something else. After we went to buy some cream because my mum was making some scones. We went to my house and I got sick and I had to stay home. My mum gave me some medicine and I felt better the next day!!!!!!!

Mighty Mucsles
Mighty Muscles
By Sue Gibbison
W.a.l.t find and summarise information in the text.
Today Mars reading group read a book called Mighty Muscles by Sue Gibbison. It shows you how you build muscles and how to look after you muscles. I learnt that:
- Muscles are all over your body.
- They help you get stronger.
- They help you lift heavy stuff.
- Eat healthy food to grow Muscles
- You need to stretch before you do exercise or else your muscles will get sore.
- You have more than 600 muscles in your body.
I liked this article because it tells you what to eat and how your whole body is important.
Reading Reflection
In this piece of work I was learning to find and summarise information in the text. I think we are learning about this because we are learning to read non-fiction books. I found this work interesting because it tells you all about muscles and how to build muscles. I know now that we have more than 600 muscles in our body. My next step is to write in my own words. My most important part in the book is we have a smallest muscle in our ear is called stapedius and we have a big one called gluteus maximas is your bottom.
